Discussion about
Can someone suggest a few places with reasonable prices for hardwood floor? Is what's online not the same quality as carried by most nyc places i have seen because the prices are triple of those online.

We just bought our flooring at Queensboro Flooring (28 Herbert St, Brooklyn, NY 11222
(718) 349-0924). Large selection of flooring, good prices and quick availability (in 2 days) of ordered flooring.

Green cat,

It depends on what type of flooring you want. Is it White Oak that you will sand, stain and poly or is it engineered?

Hardwood unfinished i'm thinking, mostly because i like a smooth continuous look and don't like the appearance bevel edges give a floor.

I recently got the hardwood floors installed from http://icustomfloor.com/ and I highly recommend these.

Green_cat

Try bk flooring in Brooklyn, (718) 218-9288
I also like Eastside Floor, 212-996-1800

BK will be cheaper

I went to Paramount Floormart, 347 37th St. Brooklyn. They don't have a fancy showroom; it's more like a small lumberyard. They're smaller than Lumber Liquidators, but have a bigger selection and competitive prices. They were extremely helpful as I needed to match the wood to something in an adjoining room. PID was too expensive.
