Discussion about 241 Fifth Avenue #5/A
Same unit as this? http://streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/878469-condo-241-fifth-avenue-nomad-new-york Cleverly renamed "5/A" so the previous sale price is not readily evident and obvious? CORE brokers seem clever but stupid.

If not for Streeteasy, how else would a potential buyer know this? In the Times, this would have been a new listing and nothing else. I would be interested to see how many will show up for their open house. It has been listed for two months.

"NoMad"? Are you kidding me? It's called "GRAMERCY".

Why not "SoEMPI"? Or "WeStuT"?

Also, this is not a "one bedroom" apartment; it's more properly called a "2-room studio". They're unusual, to be sure, but they are what you get when you have one room plus a giant kitchen. Just because they suggest putting a couch and chairs in the *kitchen* in place of a dining table does not magically turn it into a "living room".

Matt, LOL! I long for the good old days when everything was uptown, downtown, eastside and westside and if you were trendy you said "the village". NoMad, as opposed to what? YesMad, which would be more accurate. I liked Fran Lebowitz's renaming areas such as: NortiSosher which of course is North of Tiffany South of Sherry Netherland.
