Shrinking custom doors

A general contractor installed 'six custom wood' four panel doors in my apt this past July. It is now march and ALL middle panels running up and down have separated and have a 1/8 inch gap at the top and bottom seams. The general contractor said this is 'normal wear and tear.' I can understand one or two but this is every door front and back. I keep temp between 64-70 all year round. Is this normal? What action can I take?
