Good BH or Cobble Rentals right near the subway?

I work in manhattan near grand central and want to live somewhere either extremely close to borough hall 4/5, high street a/c, metrotech a/c, or bergen street F. Any good suggestions for rentals? 184 Joralemon has a great location but is overpriced, some others we've considered are: 110 Livingston (seems decent) 166 Smith (nice but overpriced) Archstone Montague Street (overpriced and ugly) The Addison (heard bad things) We'd prefer not to live in downtown proper, so less interested in something like the Brooklyner, even though it seems pretty nice. Any other ideas?
