Discussion about Emery Towers at 400 East 77th Street in Lenox Hill
I see the prices in this bldg. are lower than similar buildings in the area. A few years ago I had heard negative things about the board and the building's finances including that there was a history of lots of assessements. Does anyone have current info? Thanks

Yes. I send a purchase application for an apt in this building in 2019. Coop board is notoriously difficult and rejected my application because I purchased the apt for too low a price. They also rejected 2 other apt units around the same time (not sure if it's because of the same reason).

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the building finances, but you are right that they have a lot of assessments. My agent told me she never experienced a time when the building didn't have an assessment.
