Small space vanity

Hi, Juxie --

I've been obsessively researching small vanities for a small bathroom, too. Have you tried going on HOUZZ and typing in bathroom vanity to see lots of ideas? Same for Pinterest. So far I think Kohler's website has some of the most elegant small ones, but haven't seen them in person yet.

We purchased a small vanity for our West Village apt at Klaff's in Norwalk, CT. They have a great assortment and many items on display.

Skip the pedestal and get a fully wall-mounted unit, with storage below. Check the compact units by Robern. I've got one that I'm quite happy with. (easier to clean under as well).

Go to the gracious home design studio in the west 20s.. Many vanities of various sizes on display there. (And open on weekends)

Ikea is surprisingly good - I mixed and matched hardware from elsewhere to go for a higher end/different look. I looked at gracious home too and they have very nice vanities, but of course at a much higher price.

The Duravit Durastyle is a well built, well-priced wall hung vanity with drawers to store things. You could check it (and other styles) out at their showroom (105 Madison) and try ordering it from Smolka to get the best price. Only downside is there is a 10-12 week lead time. I looked at every brand for a small bathroom and ended up choosing the Durastyle with two drawers.

Smolka is the best, both for their showroom and to order.
They love "Primer" here on streeteasy , of Primerenovations) and will give a good price, just by way of mentioning his name.

Look online at homeandstone.com you can narrow by size - their prices were also great - got all 3 vanities there and saved a ton.

I went to ajmadison.com since they have a large number of small vanities with sinks, ranging from 18 to 30 inches wide. I bought:

- Empire Industries Daytona Vanity DVE2420WMP with Venice Ceramic Sink VE24W1 (24 W x 20 D)

- Empire Industries Contemporary Vanity 2522CWW with Carrera Marble Counterop and ceramic undermount sink (25 W x 22 D)

I forgot to add that Simon's had the same Empire cabinets, but AJ Madison had much better prices.
