Reade Chambers

This building's exterior looks like the facade of a tacky Miami condo... and it's in that armpit of Tribeca between Church & Broadway that nobody actually likes. The apartments may have "nice" finishings but they're just as unremarkable as the exterior. I could move to Raleigh, pay a quarter of the price as I would to live here, and feel just as dead inside when I walk in my front door. You move to this neighborhood for the turn-of-the-20th-century factory feel and for the Italianate architecture, not for this basic-bitch aesthetic. Whose bright idea is it to build this garbage?
