1261 Madison Avenue #4N

This is an amazing building, but the layout of this apartment is extremely awkward. Is there any way to reconfigure the rooms with minimal effort so that it would be livable for a modern family? I took a look at the original floorplans and they look even more difficult. If you were a more casual family, I would consider putting the MB where the dining room is and opening up the kitchen to the current MB (previous maid's rooms). You would have to install a Master Bath where the current kitchen is, but at least it would be a wet-over-wet proposal. You would lose a dining room this way, but you would have an eat-in kitchen and a MB that didn't feel like an afterthought. Other suggestions?
