HELOC with poker income?

I am a perfect candidate for a HELOC: My credit score is 800, I have zero debt outside of my mortgage of which I owe $170k on a $650k coop. My income is good and consistent, its just that I am a professional poker player. Underwriters seem to have a problem with that. I can most like requal with cash out but I prefer the home equity credit line as I don't want to pay on $ I'm not using. Any suggestions?

Were you a professional poker player when you first got the mortgage?
