Did any else notice that Street Easy has been slow in publishing this index lately? Earlier, they used to publish it at the same time as Case Shiller index every month.
What possible benefits could there be to ownership if you still need to nervously mark your property to market every month?

2. but reports were inconsistent and SE Index appears only slightly more reliable than a oujia board
rb, Last index value I see is March. Perhaps you mean media was quoting stalling in March. Agree that month over month SE condo index is noisy (with large outliers excluded which in the last few years has only resulted in large gains being excluded) but in the long run it seems to point to the right direction.
rb, In prime Manhattan, how much further gains do you think in next 1 year excluding new constuction (coop / old condos)?
