Discussion about
Looks like something is happening there. (Might be a block or to off. West side of ave.) I past the other day and it seems a bunch of small buildings were taken down and now it's a construction site. Anyone know anything?

That's 20 EEA, at the corner of 80th. It used to be a CUNY building.

According to article:

A former City University of New York building at 535 East 80th Street will make way for a new Upper East Side residential project.

Also known as 20 East End Avenue, the proposed new building would be 17 stories and 39 units, according to a plan exam application filed September 10th. Montroy Andersen DeMarco is the architect of record for the 142,220-square-foot project, which will have bike storage, a gym, concierge and three duplex maisonettes on the first to second floors.

The developer is Corigin Real Estate Group, which bought the property for $61.75 million from CUNY in January, The New York Observer reported. CUNY had occupied the seven-story, 70,502-square-foot office building on the site since 1958.

Corigin’s previous residential projects include Tribeca’s The Sugar Lofts at 79 Laight Street and Soho’s The Loft at 30 Crosby Street.
