Affordable interior decorator/architect in NYC?

Hi guys, I recently purchased a studio loft in Gramercy Park. It is a loft studio, with 11 ft high ceilings. I'm trying to work with a designer + architect to transform the apartment to fit more of my needs (modern contemporary). My main focus is storage, revamping the sleeping loft area, adding privacy to sleeping area ( built in curtains ? ), and redoing the stairs to match the floors + add storage underneath. My questions are: 1. Does anyone have any great professionals that the recommend, and any links to their previous work ? 2. How do I go about finding somebody affordible to help me with my renovations in NYC? 3. How much should I prepare to spend in this process ? ( mainly referring to fees associated with the designer etc ) Thanks!
