What is this all about? Hi, I live in LIC and we just received our lease renewal form. There is a 421A surcharge in addition to the rent increase. Why are we responsible for paying this? Also if they end the 421A policy are we still going to have to pay the higher rent amount? We were never informed of this prior to moving in and now are being stuck with paying it because we cant move out at the moment. If any one can shed some light on this I would be much appreciative.
