421A Building - Short-Term Extensions

I can't seem to find any information governing a short-term extension for a building governed by the 421A rent stabilization. I'm moving across the country and already exercised a 1 month extension while I was waiting for company approval to move but likely need another month to now get the move organized. My building's management is refusing a second short term extension saying that the 421a guidelines/law/regulations prevent them from offering a second 1 month extension. Is that true?
