Reading the "Market always goes up " thread I was thinking - And I'm new here so I don't totally get his shtick....
The numbers are "FUN" and all.... And maybe if Steve was posting on a Real estate board based in Tennessee, he'd have some support..
But, I'd imagine that 95% of the people who read and post on this board have made an ABSOLUTE KILLING and most of the net worth based on Real Estate deals in the metro area of NYC.... An ABSOLUTE KILLING...... It's like Steve is posting on the Apple Computer board where we all bought in at $1.00, telling us all to "watch Out"...
In the world of NYC real etate I'm an absolute piker who barely knows what he's doing and i've stepped in enough shit to make relatively obscene amounts of money...
I read Steve's posts as if he some country bumpkin from the hills of North Carolina trying to tell the city folk that all the money they have been rolling in the past 15++++ years is going to all be taken away next week.....
For starters many of us cashed out many times over already - and next to that - those of us still in the game face a possibly flattening out for a while and then very likely another nice rise and gain eventually... It happens - Doesn't take a genius to post 10000 times to tell anyone that.
I'm just not sure what Steve's intentions are - the only thing I can come up with is that he's on the sideline's and DYING to get in the game but, doesn't have the $$$ or is praying for some kind of crash so he can jump in - If that happens, many of us will jump in as well AGAIN.... He's got to be jealous of the Gains NYC has made already and he pretty much missed the boat...
Is the NYC market or any market the INCREDIBLE investment it was 10 years ago? Maybe not - Probably not - But, if you want to live in NYC, it's a damn good investment and yeah, you should wait, shop and find your deal, which YOU WILL....
But, does he think he's going to help it happen if he posts doom and gloom like a mad man????
Funny stuff - We all saw this on stock boards before - but, on small stocks, a lot of bad posts might even effect the stock....

What? You are a true idiot. Not one of your points is even worth debating. You are the absolute poster child for the market, and why it has peaked. It is amazing to be able to get real life idiots posting their thoughts online, as the market unfolds. Thank you, englandspain, for being such a idiot and illustrating how moronic the thought process is of the average buyer. Don't you know that most of the people are wrong most of the time? You are one of those many people. Let me say this: Past performance negatively corresponds to future performance for all asset classes. You should have bought in england or spain, with the benefit of hindsight, those were better purchases, especially vs. the dollar. Oh, but I'm sure its not too late, Trees grow to the sky sometimes. I bet real estate will be even higher next year and even five years from now. It has too, cause it went up 200% in the last 5 years. HAS TOO. And sell the dollar to buy all those Euros/Pounds you obviously wrongly sold when you bought, englandspain. Come on, you probably left 50% on the table. Wait, you are in the wrong business, you should be trading FX. Do you want a job, Ms. Forward Looking?
