Looking to renovate Kitchen and Bathroom

I have a studio apt in Midtown and wanted to update the kitchen and bathroom to make it look more modern. What is the estimate range nowadays for this type of work? Not looking for high end or luxury, just more modern cabinets, tiles, etc. Any recommended contractors that people in this forum have used for this type of work?

just to clarify, is this a gut renovation, or a complete renovation? If a gut renovation, NYCNovice can help. If a complete renovation, New2me has some perspective. There is a difference.
