Discussion about The Walton Condominium at 104 West 70th Street in Lincoln Square
Well it is Throwback Thursday so here goes; It was a gut wrenching screaming SRO that really kept pedestrian traffic to a minimal on 70th. Once that closed and The Walton opened complete with condo model apartments (Which sold like wildfire as they all did then) it was quite apparent that the hood was a changing and that one building made a huge difference. Then there was the person complaining after viewing the models that 125 to 135K was insane for a one bedroom.
Sounds like my kind of building. I wish I lived there instead of in the frat house I bought into. How often do you get a contact high walking around the back of the building? Um I thought so.
There's a rental on 2326 Broadway that used to be a multi-story commercial garage! It was converted to a residential building between 1983 and 1985 and annexed to 215 W 84 St.
