Discussion about 222 East 27th Street in Kips Bay
This building was NOT build in 1920, it was built before 1900. It is therefore an old walk-up tenement building of cold water flats that had the bathtub in the kitchen and communal toilets in the hallways. The stair cases are steep and the hallways narrow. The apartments are not 1 bedrooms, they are converted studios. Average square footage is something around 300 - 350 square feet. The area is desirable, if you like sports bars.
