really amazing how different this layout was before -- http://streeteasy.com/sale/918131
double the price in just 2 years for a complete kitchen / bath swap. Smart, but still looks a bit cramped. Since it's really a 1br, the 2nd bed and bath now normalizes the higher land lease maintenance which is typically painfully high-- now it feels like a great chance to nab a 2 bed and thats how the price doubling must be justified? very interested to see what the final sale price is here. Going to the open house today to see if it's as cramped as it looks in the floorplan.

The land lease resets in 10 years, and the underlying land was just sold to a group of investors. The price for this apartment is nuts

I don't know....I usually like having a window in the living room. I'm funny that way.

The kitchen and bath locations did *not* get swapped. The newer floor plan is just rotated 180 degrees vs the old. They did manage to split the bathroom into the master/guest though. And chop up the living room...

Also notice showers only (no tub) in either bathroom, and the '2nd bedroom' is staged in the newest photos as an office.

That's a lot of money spent for a landlease building unit with known issues. Yikes.
