How long in contract?

Found a condo (actually a townhouse in a condo complex, interesting setup) that has been in contract since April. How long does one expect that to take? Really like the place and was wondering if one can contact the sellers while its in contract to let them know someone is interested

Figure a month to 45 days from contract signing for the buyers to get a mortgage, and 30 days from the buyers lining up financing to close.

You can certainly contact the sellers -- you should go through their broker, if they have one -- to tell them that you are interested if the property doesn't close.
