swing out service door

Discussion about
We are thinking about an changing the kitchen service door from swing -in to out-swing door because it will maximize usable floor space in the kitchen. Is there any reason why this would not be allowed or recommended in a high floor doorman coop?

You will need to check with your managing agent re: bylaws and code but I don't believe you can have your door swing out into public space
