Discussion about
We own a 1 bedroom in Park Slope that we plan to put on the market. Thing is, we don't want to list it and get into contract before finding a two bedroom that we like. It seems like the market has somewhat stalled in the last week or so. We are looking to buy in PS, Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill, Greenwood, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights....nothing seems to be coming into the market lately. Should we just hold off the sale of our apartment until the spring? Is it a better time to search for a new home? Thanks

The first big question is your budget. Try moving up on price and you may find more apartments. Also, traditionally spring and fall are best for sellers, winter and summer best for buyers, when it comes to price. The downside for buyers in the off seasons is less inventory. Speaking generally.
