I just wanted to add an update since the last discussion groups expired many years ago. The building is in a fantastic location where Greenwich Village and NoHo meet. The residents are friendly, the building entry, lobbies, courtyard garden, and common areas all tastefully updated and upgraded in 2015/2016. The building finances are in great shape with attractive mortgage rate. Could not be happier with a classic charming building, great neighborhood, and great neighbors! NYU adds culture, activities, and a youthful but sophisticated student vibe. Washington Square Park, Broadway, SoHo, restaurants, shops, fashion, services, easy access to subway lines and surface transportation all within just a few minutes walk. What a gem of a find in The Big Apple!

The board is impossible especially the appointment in the past year of the arrogant in fexible un accomodating arrogant president. The morale of the maintenance staff is so low, nothing gets done.So whoever wrote this last post, must be a part of board. The idea of an investment property loses all its value,to secure truly viable tenants because of the delays of board approval and response.BEWARE .Tenants are treated like scum by management Owners are burdening all the costs, with maintenance that is beyond unreasonable reflected in the delays increases and incompetence of a poorly run building.CLEARLY evident on how many rentals languish without tenants.Walk away.otherwise will be very sorry you did not.

I like the building location and historical details but have no idea about inner workings.

Do not think there is any noise issues from NYU. Broadway facing apt naturally will have some traffic noise.
