Discussion about BellTel Lofts at 365 Bridge Street in Downtown Brooklyn
Looks like BellTel may be in danger of losing its east-facing lot line windows: "the “111 building” [111 Willoughby Street] that is part of the Oratory in downtown Brooklyn will be demolished to make room for a 20-30 story building to house students at local Catholic colleges and to create a Catholic Neumann Center that will serve as a research and information facility." http://brooklynheightsblog.com/archives/78230

If you are in Brooklyn, why would you want an East-facing view anyway?
Who cares about the view regardless? I'd be more concerned with losing "bedrooms".
Anyone has any update to the development plan on 107-111 Willoughby St? Thanks.
I checked acris that the properties are still assigned to the church and there aren't any recent permits applied at the dept of buildings web site.
I founda rendering from the link below of the new building

Hahahahaha! The NYTimes just featured one of the BelTel lofts with two 'bedrooms' I feel sorry for the folks that buy that apartment and lose 75% of their windows.
It has been reported that renderings in 2020 of the proposed building at 111 Willoughby Street show a 40-story building with set-backs on the Willoughby Street side and set-backs on the back side of the building (adjacent to the church, which will remain). Apparently the BellTel "A" line units up to a certain level may lose windows as a result.
111 Willoughby just have their demotion permit approved in Sept 2021. The 40 story building appears to building on the lot line shared with BellLoft. Even some floors above 9th may lose 2 lot line windows at the back of the A-line units based on the building drawings filed with the permits from the Dept Of Buildings web site.
111 Willoughby's demotion permit appears to have been granted in Sept 2021, according to Dept of Buildings website. I assume the work will start soon and the A line units (even above 9th floor) may lose 2 lot-line windows that are in the back.
Construction is going up. Looks like the windows are lost.
That is horrible. Forget views; I would like some sunlight and air at least!
apartments appear to have appreciated somewhat in price.
