Contractor, Structural Engineer or Inspector?

Discussion about
Looking at a fixer-upper -- need to know what needs to be done for the apartment before bidding. Do we want a contractor, structural engineer or inspector? (We are not planning on moving walls)

I have a great guy that is cheap and does exceptional job. I'll try to find his number.

Architect or contractor if this is an apartment. Town house? Then add a structural engineer.
