Discussion about Continental Towers at 301 East 79th Street in Yorkville
When are they fixing up the grandma lobby? They need to refinish the wood around the elevators; get rid of the old lady sconces; and ugly candles and lighting. Too bad no one on the board has any taste. They can look across the street and see what a modern building lobby should look like; but they are all very old people who are clueless. Meanwhile elevators need replacement -- one of them is out for over a month --- they are waiting on a motor replacement. Shouldn't they order new motors for the other elevators? They are over 30 years old!

Are you a tenant ?
What happened to the canopy and planters in front of the building? Is the board of managers determined to reduce property values. And, the planters on Second Avenue have been removed as well. Building lobby is still not refurbished (you think that they could look at the lobby across the street in the new building). The wood by the elevators is scratched and pitted. Why don't they fix it? O
Why not get on the board and help address the issues?
Board needs to go to Board of Estimate to have park closed at midnight -- but, lies to the owners claiming that complaints need to be made to the precinct about the drug dealing, homeless, and noise from the park. Too cheap to hire a lawyer and too dishonest to tell the truth to the owners about the June, 2003 consent of the Board of Estimate!
