W2 acceptable replacement for missing tax return?

Discussion about
Standard forms for closing on a rental include providing the 2 most recent tax returns however I am unable to provide a hard copy of 2014, is a W2 an acceptable back up? Ordering a copy from the IRS will take 2 weeks, so I was just wondering.

Not enough information on a W2 usually , that's why there's a request for the whole tax return -

why don't you have copies anyway ?

My computer was wiped so I lost my copy of the 2014 return. Just curious to see if it's a viable alternative. Thanks.
