New graduate, low credit, decent salary..

I recently graduated and my credit isn't that great (630s). I don't have any credit cards and I had some parking tickets from years ago that went to collections. However, I start a new job in NYC in about 3 months with a salary of 85K, 93K including bonus. Combined we will bring in around $225K, $250K if you include both of our bonuses. How does my low score affect things? Will we have to rent in a worse area, are our options slim?

Where do you want to rent? What price range?
You are $93K and total is $250K - is that roommates or a significant other who can be the primary lessor?
