Discussion about
I recently moved to NYC and I am currently living in an apartment that was gut renovated but with the updates kind of half-assed. I find myself having to constantly contact the management company who just tells me to talk to the super to get random things fixed. The thing is, my super does not live in the city (I think he might live in New Jersey)! So it takes him what seems twice as long to get things fixed. Is this common in the city or am I just in a weird situation?

Yeah, at that price point in Chelsea, I think you are getting what you are paying for. Just speaking realistically. You can't expect a live-in super, high-end renovations, etc. Landlord in Chelsea is ok with you leaving and him/her finding someone new in 1-2 years, and again and again.
