Need to Close Permit

Discussion about
We did not end well with our electrician. He seems to have been upset that the job took so long, and we made him fix some of his mistakes, but now he's claiming we don't need to have the work inspected to close out the permit. He says, "If you leave it alone it will just fall off." Now I'm not crazy about this as 1) I can't find that in writing anywhere and 2) I don't trust him. Can anyone give us any advice? Thanks

Definitely won't fall off the radar . Your building will forever show an open inspection in your apartment.

withhold final payment until inspection is done and job shows as cleared....if you don't you'll only end up paying someone else more when it comes time to sell.......
