I understand that electrical has to be inspected by the city, but what about the LAA? Our plumber almost delayed our the start of our renovation because he was late getting the LAA permit. Now the job is done. How do I find out if he closed out the permit?

Look up your building in BISWeb, go down to the bottom of the page and click ARA / LAA Jobs. Yours should be in the list and it will show a status; some inspection details are also available through the interface. If it doesn't say SIGNED OFF then you should work with the plumber on whatever's left to do.

Thanks. I looked it up and found a page that says "inspection conducted" and "pass." Nothing that actually says "Signed off." Is "pass" enough? All these government forms confuse me!

I believe it needs to get to "Signed Off" in the LAA status column to be fully completed. Look at other LAAs on your building or on similar buildings for comparison.

Thanks. Sure enough, it has not been signed off. Now to get the plumber to do it!
