Discussion about
Hi Streeteasy - I was an avid fan of the "Recorded Sales" tab you recently eliminated. I have been trying to get familiar with the comparables reports and there is a section called "Unavailable Listings" where most of these say "delisted" or "unavailable" but have in fact closed. I think you should get your staff to run reports and link these "unavailable" listings to the recorded sales. It would make the data cleaners and more accurate!! Thanks, Danielle!

Agreed. Streeteasy is getting sloppier and sloppier. Did some new Vice President of Data Accuracy take over the Data Accuracy Department? Many listing I know that are in contract or even closed are still showing up as available. What gives? As soon as that sucker goes to contract it should be removed. Is it the agent playing games or IT failures? What's up Streeteasy? Strong reliable data was always the key driver of visitors to your site.

Also Streeteasy why do you still lump Condops into a Condo search? Many search engines have condo, coop, condop, townhouse etc. search capabilities. If I want to see condos I should be able to only see condos not condops forcibly included. They just get in the way and I have to manually filter them out(excel sheet) Cannot be that difficult for IT to put in another search selection. It will make your site that much more productive.

Streeteasy even more important for the buyer is the fact that condops have large spaces devoted to commercial businesses(condo part) that residents(coop part) have to deal with meaning many monthly expense issues. Why are condops not broken out separately when they are so different from condos and are technically coops with commercial condos?????

Streeteasy its only constructive criticism don't get upset. Elle or Elaine and I are just trying to help. Those Zillow guys are not helping. If I can be brutally honest here it's been all down hill since those Zillow corporate high rollers sauntered in and took over. SE needs to get back to basics and tell those overcompensated great talker know nothing blowhards to get lost. Good luck! :)

The problem is all these features were already on the site (including condop separately) and are being systematically over time being removed one by one.

Now why on earth have you removed the sales search advance feature of of "only new listings in the last" ..30 days, 60 days, etc. ?
And why continue to leave the "search" box and field at the top of the forum threads when the feature has had its functionality removed for well over 90 days now?

To force people to pay for those features on Zillow/Trulia? Can you say "monopolistic practices"?

I think Streeteasy is trying to become more "advertiser friendly". Could it be reason leading to less transparency? I would think cost cutting impacts new features but removal of old features like recorded sale?

Streeteasy...the "old" streeteasy would have met our questions and concerns(above) right away and head on. It's been little less than a week and no response. See that's the problem. Their is a lack of passion now. The "old streeteasy" would have loved to mix it up with us. Now nothing. Is that what happens when the all flash no substance CEO comes in? The guy who's shoes shine like mirrors but couldn't tell you what say an REO is(above)or what a flip tax is or how mortgage rates work or etc. The people above on this thread are no joke, We know our stuff. Maybe just maybe you might learn a little something mixing it up a little...:)
