Hi All- I'm new at renovating, and need to get the following things done in a 930 sq. foot Brooklyn apartment- Install crown moldings and baseboards Painting (including removing wallpaper from one wall) Plastering a few places on the ceiling Would this be a job for a handyman? Or a painter + a handyman. Or...?

Correctly mitering the moldings is a job for a finish carpenter, I don't know if I would trust it to a "handyman".

Dom,

A good handyman should be able to do it . You should check with your neighbors to see if they would recommend anyone

In many cases, painter has a friend who can do it easily - unless you are layering moldings meaning you have to use many individual cuts to make a molding - in which case you need a skilled carpenter.
