Reinstalling a Door to Create Original Bedroom

I have a 2BR apartment but removed the door and opened up one of the bedrooms into the living room. Is it possible to install back the door and close off the room back into an enclosed bedroom without needing to file a permit with the city? The apartment was originally a 2BR and that has not changed.

If it is a just a door re-installation, there is no need to ask.
