Discussion about The Link at 310 West 52nd Street in Hell's Kitchen
I have lived in the Link for 4 years and there are many recurring flooding issues - ESPECIALLY in the B line units. Whatever you do - do no move in here. Our B line unit flooded multiple times and the building manager laughed in our face, he did not care and showed no sense of urgency. Our B line unit flooded multiple times and the building manager laughed in our face, he did not care and showed no sense of urgency. Apparently the builders uses the wrong cement to secure the HVACs - so this will ALWAYS be an issue. Most of the staff are miserable and hate the building as well. Probably because they have to deal with unhappy residents who constantly deal with floods. There are other design flaws. The windows are thin and there is a police department and fire station within a 2 block radius so you will not sleep at night. The elevators are often broken. The combined washer/dryer units do not sufficiently clean clothes. The shower stalls were poorly designed and therefore water pools and causes mold. During the holidays tourists are bused in to the theater district so you will be living among hordes of tourists. I would never recommend this building. Do other residents have these issues? [less]

Never been inside but I remember when it was being built. I thought that hideous entrance was some sort of temporary structure. Looks like the design was based on a kid's toy building set. It looks like it was designed to be dis-assembled. Maybe the whole building was designed to be temporary.
Hi TheLinkResident - I can't comment on some of the issues you have but I will comment on your characterization of the staff. I have lived in the building over 5 years and I consider the staff to be wonderful and hard working individuals. Never have I got the sense that they are "miserable" or hate the building. I have gotten to know many of them and take offense at your vitriol. Regarding the building issues, it is quite common in new construction. Are you renting? If so, have you taken these issues up with your landlord/the owner of the apartment as well?

I think we now know what we need to know.

I don't know how you could have a lawsuit because you don't like your living accommodations on the Bowery.
Hi TheLinkResident - If you think your life in Link is miserable, why don't you move out to find another building to rent instead of living there for 4 years?
Whoa, the original poster has it all wrong. Does this sound like a building that dislikes it's staff and vice versa? https://www.gofundme.com/Reuben-Ledra
