Self managed buildings should be avoided at all costs!!

Is there something specific you have to say about this building, or all self managed buildings? I self managed my own building for a period, and while I felt that managing a NYC building was best left to full time professionals, it worked well for our building for about a year or so while we transitioned away from the sponsor.
