Discussion about
I recently purchased an apartment where the previous owner built a floor-to-ceiling solid wall to separate and enclose the kitchen from the dining room. However, I don't believe the wall went through the proper procedures (architect, permit, etc.). Would I need to remove this wall? I heard there may also be insurance problems or that management can assess my unit for the improvement?

Yes. You would be responsible for everything they did. As soon as you purchased, it's my understanding, that you inherited any issues. I was actually looking at an apartment that had been renovated. I could not get a straight answer on the bathroom they added and whether it had been done properly, so I walked away.

It sounds like you don't know for certain if the Wall is Illegal. Some Walls are ok to Build.
