Extra insurance charge for cabinets installation

I'm ordering my kitchen cabinets from a big company outside of the city. They would also handle the installation. When I showed the designer our building's insurance requirements he said they have it, but now that they issued the COI I see the coverage is less than required. They said they'll charge me 3K for raising the coverage ($2M of umbrella). Is this reasonable? First of all they said they had the coverage. Secondly, can't they just raise it temporarily for the few days installation takes place? Wouldn't it be much less than 3K?
