Discussion about
Has anyone else noticed that the StreetEasy "counter" has not moved for the past few weeks. Mine is stuck at 12,246 properties for sale in Manhattan. Yet, Urbandigs' "counter" moves up or down daily and it is based on StreetEasy's data. Is StreetEasy's ticker stuck or have they just given up counting?

12,246 properties for sale in Manhattan? Then why does UrbanDigs have under 8,000 properties for sale?

B/c you have to press "listing status" and choose properties not in contract.

the feed that I get from SE was designed with some presets in it; excludes contracts signed, listings with NO exact address (open listings), and any and all duplicates that are otherwise missed. These filters are the main ones and fine tune the data that we publish on the UrbanDigs widget and charts for Manhattan real estate.

I wonder how many "phantom" listings there are (FSBOs, sellers withdrawing and waiting for the market to improve, laid off and soon to be laid off Wall St. yet to list their apts. for sale, resales in uncompleted buildings etc.)
