My wife and I put in an application to rent apartment #2L in this building through a broker in May, 2017. We met the landlord when we saw the place and he seemed like a nice enough person. The broker took forever to get back to us, then finally told us that the landlord had approved our application. We made an appointment to sign the lease. Two hours before our appointment , the broker called and said the landlord had decided he was selling the building and was not going to rent the apartment. Now, three weeks later, the apartment is back up for rent, at a higher price. Do not trust!

I am sure the broker was just as frustrated by this bizarre behaviour as you both were!
