The residential entrance for The Harrison is going to be on 76th Street. The adjacent building is a co-op with commercial space on the ground floor and the basement. The air conditioning equipment for the commercial space is located on the second and third floors with the vents on 76th Street next to The Harrison. Because the air conditioning equipment is inside the building it requires very powerful fans to create the cooling effect you would get if the equipment was located on a roof. These fans sound like a jet engine and run most of the year. The Harrison should be a successful project, but did anyone stand on the street before they decided where to put the entrance?
