Don't get burned We had a signed contract and got board approved. A week before close the Seller's postpone indefinitely without reason. Their lawyer was completely uncommunicative - no response to phone or email. We waited 2 months, notifying them we would claim damages if they weren't able to close. After no resolution and no communication we terminated the contract asking for our deposit back and their lawyer still didn't respond… It took multiple contacts indicating we would report him to the bar association, a litigator and a couple phone calls… Finally over a week later we get the funds back. It's as simple as - don't list a property and sign a contract if you are not ready to sell. Based on our experience I would avoid 467 Pacific St, Unit 21 and all those involved: Owner, Attorney & Broker. Also the board at 467 Pacific St has verbal policies (that don't appear in the house rules) and one personality that was difficult. An epic waste of everyone's time. Now going after damages. Stay away. [less]
would love to hear what damages you will be able to get from this situation - cheers
