Filing Complaint with AG

Would love to hear thoughts on the risks of filing a complaint with the attorney general's office about the developer of a new development that has been severely delayed. The delay actually isn't the problem--happy to wait--but the developer's realtor and attorney have stopped responding to calls from my realtor and attorney, respectively, even though it seems he's THIS CLOSE to getting the C of O for the building. We have no idea if the developer is abandoning the project or just needs more time, and the lack of a reply is frustrating. Meanwhile, 3 years later, prices have increased significantly and it would be a bummer to have to start over. Would filing a complaint open up a can of worms? Any other advice on what we could do?
