I love condos that "neglect" to list the square footage in the listing. Of course, the broker doesn't really forget to do this. Rather, this key piece of information is left out because, as with this apt 21C, the actual sq ft is a quite small approx 1,400 sq ft, as can be added up from the floor plan. And if you were to divide the asking price by the the 1,400 sq ft, you would get a ridiculously high $3,000+ per sq ft. So now back to reality. 101 West 79th is a tired, not that well built 1980's style condo. While this unit appears to have been renovated, it's pretty basic....nothing luxurious. So, factoring in the park view, this place should sell for somewhere in the low $3 million range, which still equates to $2,000+ per sq ft although it won't come near the $2,500 per sq ft level. I would rather they leave it out than misrepresent it. I mean, everybody can look at the floor plan and figure out how big it is, right?
