I think this is not the first time RIO is trying to disparage this agent. Hopefully, Streeteasy discloses the name of this person for the agent to take suitable legal action if he/she wishes. It is clearly an abuse of a message board. It is altogether different matter to just posting “the listing is too expensive, the square footage is not right” etc.

I don't think it's improper for a customer / client to use this forum to make specific complaints about a broker. However just generally disparaging someone without giving any specifics so that the reader may judge for themselves what they think about what the specific allegations are (no matter what "forum" they use, but especially if they are doing so anonymously) is not only out of line, but imparts nothing meaningful in terms of discussion. At least if we knew what the specific allegations were, we could have a discussion as to whether they were unethical, illegal, borderline, Etc. (Even outside of whether any specific broker was guilty of having committed those actions).

Why should an anonymous person be able to disparage some one with a name without verifiable facts? That is why I think talking about a listing is fine as the facts are verifiable but individual interaction is a different story.

Wow. Again, unreal, the level of slander in unbelievable on this forum.
