Discussion about
do brokers give out this info?
I had the same question - any answers appreciated.
I'm assuming you mean BEFORE the apartment closes and public records are available. Brokers will usually do whatever's in their and their client's interest. Providing financial info to third parties with no "standing" on a transaction that's in progress does nothing to further their interests.
If the deal breaks down (even after being in contract), the seller and broker would certainly not benefit if subsequent buyers had pricing info on a deal that was never consummated.
And if a Co-op, price is not the only thing - so are the qualifications of the buyer. A listing agent often will advise his / her client to accept a lower price from a more qualified buyer - again, not the type of information they'd have any interest in sharing.
Some options...
If the contract is conditional on financing...
or if there is a change in offering plan.... (frequent with new struction)
or if its conditional on a move in date/closing. Many new buildings say you can get out of contract if past a certain date
All the contracted prices are listed at Acris/Property Records/Listings in Contract.
what inoeverything is talking about is only for after a property has closed and owners have changed. There is no real way to find info on pending deals signed contract price.
inoeverything thank you this is great new. i tried acris.com and property but couldn't find listings in contract
could you please guide me through it, i have never used this website before
How would ACRIS get data on signed contracts? If I understand the recording process at all, inoeverything's post doesn't make sense.
I think "inoeverything" might be a troll who enjoys posting misinformation.
no, they don't give out this info.

Is it possible that inoeverything just made an honest mistake?...ah...welcome to NY the land of arrogant SOB's who would as soon throw their own mother's into oncoming traffic than being gracious and kind.
