Discussion about
I was approached by a broker who stated that she had a buyer that was interested in buying my apartment. I do not have my apartment officially up for sale, but do I need my own broker to represent me if I wanted to sell?
You don't, but you do need a lawyer to draft up and negotiate a contract on your behalf.
However, the real question is if the price you're getting off market is the best price possible. The only way to find out is to do a market check by actually listing the property.
You can do so with an Agent Assisted FSBO (https://www.hauseit.com/fsbo-nyc/) ... otherwise known as a flat fee MLS listing.
Best way to do a market check without having to pay 6%. And you can still sell to that buyer if they are indeed the best bid in the market.
What is going on here? This exact same thread was started by somebody else yesterday. Can we be a little bit less obvious guys. Yes I am a broker, and I do discuss my services and business model here. I've been doing so since 2007. Like it or dislike it, I'm keeping it real.
