Discussion about
Is it me or are they out of their mind, with the price of this place? Look at that living room. 14X17 and the second bed room if tiny. For $1.3 and almost $1800 CC's those rooms should be much bigger. Like I said $1M tops I wonder what the equivalent size unit rents for? http://www.streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/214283-condo-30-west-street-battery-park-city-manhattan
Here's the rental at $4,700 month. That's 23x rent ratio. Even at $1M you're still at 17X. When will people learn.

This pertty much represents what I don't like about so many new developments (and why we ultimately did not buy one). Yes, you get all the newfangled kitchen, bathrooms and other crap. But your living room area is just too damn small for the prices you are being asked to pay. Here you have 17'x14' and that needs to house your dining area. Plus, the 17' length actually includes the island portion of the kitchen. In genuine lofts, I like an open kitchen; but in smaller spaces like this I do not. You end up having your kitchen, living room and dining room be essentially a single room.
Who's been saying this for months now?
JuiceMan, are you there?
The question is when will they learn that they're trying to sell for twice what they're trying to rent for.
Oh, I forgot: the tax benefit! :0
