Discussion about The Charleston at 225 East 34th Street in Murray Hill
Any other buyers who bought here?
the ads in the NYT are ridic. makes me understand why i wldnt want to live there.
can you afford buying anywhere
actually.. yes. just closed on a nice two bedroom in downtown in a place you probably couldn't. if you were one of those people that are featured in the ads, apologies.. truly... if not, then stfu
I think that the building looks very good, and it is a very good school district. I also agree that the advertising campaign sucks. We are currently renting not too far from the Charleston, so I have been watching its rapid rise. However, ultimately we decided to buy in a development on the UWS. On the plus side were a very good school district, decent prices per square foot, balconies, and the potential for killer views; on the downside were very very close proximity to a midtown tunnel access point and pretty far from real parks.
I've visited the sales office...we were not impressed. Boring floorplans & decor, crappy location (right next to one of the on/off ramps for the tunnel), and overpriced IMO, even for a new development - the apartments are small and not very well laid out.
I do not know what you mean by boring floorplan. What's an exciting floorplan. I totally disagree about the layout and size, and would contend that the apartmernts are not small at all. It is a much better deal and size then say the maison east way furhter uptowm
Agree with number 8- good deal and balconies and nice school district too.
#8.. that's cuz it's on 34th st.
Third ave on 81st street is not a quiet tree lined, close to CP UES street either. You can never find a cab in the morning around UES. And Maison East is not a new cons either. Just CUZ its labelled UES and $$$$ does not mean its great. And my rule of thumb is stay away from Gray's Papaya
