Discussion about
wondering how long your sponsor unit appliances have lasted. After 18 years I've replaced everything except the washer dryer. Just did the oven range and microwave? How old was your apartment before you repurchased everything? Did you upgrade? downgrade or try to maintain the quality level

Wouldn’t it depend on the appliances which came with apartment?

These guys say that these days the outside life of appliances is about 12 years and that's including a few major repairs along the way:

Higher end - Wolf, Subzero, Miele are much longer. Dishwashers and washer dryers probably 10-15 year even with the high end Miele.

Put in our own appliances during our renovation: Subzero, Miele, Dacor, and undercounter ice maker.
18 years, $600 for Subzero repairs, $100 for Miele, and 2 replacements for the expensive under counter ice maker .

We put in a mix of brands during our renovation (Bosch, Liebherr, Asko, Miele) and our Miele wall oven is the only appliance that has failed so far. It completely stopped working just weeks after the warranty expired, less than one year after installation and first use. Unfortunately the clock for them started on delivery and it cost $500+ to replace the bad board.
